So this topic is very very important. Why? Because EM DB Control can help you in many of the exam tasks if there is no constraint. And remember, time here is better than money, time is passing. If the exam requests you to create an EM DB Control and you fail, you won't score in this item, and even worse: you may lose a lot of time in other tasks that could be done easily using EM DB Control.
Remember, EM DB Control is not EM Grid Control. Any question can be forced to be executed in:
- CLI (Command Line Interface, like sqlplus / lsnrctl / ...)
- GUI (Graphical User Interface, like dbca / netca / ...)
- EM DB Control
- EM Grid Control
Do not confuse them.
So for this chapter, practice a lot emca:
- Test emca in a database created using CLI.
- Test emca in a database created using GUI (without DB Control option checked).
- Test emca in a database created using GUI (with DB Control option checked).
Practice also the option to recreate and drop the EM structure.
